I Belong Project creates personal videos for about 500 adoption-eligible kids in foster care each year to help them find matches with adoptive families. We focus on teens and sibling groups who often are harder to place.
When kids age out of foster care without a family, their outcomes are dire: 97% immediately enter chronic poverty; 40% become homeless within 18 months; all are at far greater risk for trafficking, substance abuse, incarceration and unplanned pregnancy, often perpetuating the generational cycle of foster care.
